Je zou mensen die zo denken bijna de betreffende ziekte toewensen. Bijna.

Interessant bericht, alleen staat er niet bij om welke test het gaat.

Deze high-tech company kan net zo goed Novacyt of de Chinese branchegenoot BGI Group zijn, waar Curetis een samenwerking mee aangaat. Zie:

NANJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Experts have developed a rapid nucleic test kit for the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the city of Wuxi, east China's Jiangsu Province.

The kit can detect the virus within eight to 15 minutes, according to the city bureau of science and technology.

The kit has high sensitivity and is easy to use and transport, according to the bureau. It will be vital for the prevention and control of the epidemic.

The kit was the joint work of experts from the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention and a Wuxi-based high-tech company. The company received a notice to develop the kit on Jan. 20.

The kit is undergoing mass production. The company said it can produce kits for 4,000 people a day, and the city government is helping the company expand production.

The first batch of kits is already in use at the frontlines in Hubei Province.

A more rapid detection kit for the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) came into mass production on Jan 29, according to the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The detection kit - applied with aided isothermal amplification technology - can achieve rapid detection results in eight to 15 minutes.

It greatly reduces the original detection time of 90 minutes, using other nucleic acid detection kits (RT-PCR probe).

The newly launched product, featuring lower costs and much higher sensitiveness, was produced through a partnership with CDC in Beijing and Jiangsu Qitian Gene Biological Technology Co Ltd in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) in Jiangsu province.

In response to the rapid rise in confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province since December 2019, CDC and Qitian jointly created a team of experts with no time lost to break through the bottleneck for a better and quicker diagnose of the disease.

"We received the research and development task on Jan 19 and a group of eight scientific researchers from Qitian committed to the R&D task together with the expert team from CDC,” said Ying Qingjie, general manager of Qitian.

“The task was completed on Jan 25,” Ying added.

To date, a number of hospitals in Hubei province have made contact with Qitian, hoping to get the detection kits used for diagnosis.

Volgens mij hebben ze een prospectus uitgegeven om die $50 miljoen aan aandelen uit te kunnen geven, enerzijds voor de betaling van de overname van curetis, anderzijds om in te toekomst uit te mogen geven.
Geeft dus vooral ruimte voor verwatering.

De distributeur heeft op zijn beurt toegezegd een minimumaantal Unyvero-apparaten te kopen.
