Riley explains that Powerhouse is currently focused on its Protos project, which will demonstrate that its waste-to-hydrogen technology can work on an industrial scale.

This proof would represent a "whole new life for the company," he believes.

Powerhouse Energy makes progress at Protos park site

Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE, ETR:BT81) said emergency access to its site at the Protos Energy park has now been completed, while service ducting has been installed.

The ultimate construction of the waste-to-hydrogen facility remains subject to numerous engineering steps and raising the necessary finance for its construction, Powerhouse added.

Keith Riley, interim chairman and acting chief executive, said: "These two items form an important part of the infrastructure required to enable the Protos Plastics to Hydrogen facility to proceed.

“Emergency access is required to facilitate the installation of the electrical substation, which will both provide power to the site and allow it to be exported from the site when the plant runs in generation mode.

“The service ducting will enable the cabling and other services to be run into the site below the ground.

"We continue to work closely with [partner] Peel to progress the Protos Plastics to Hydrogen project, with further developments anticipated in and around the site shortly."

Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE) heeft een raamwerkovereenkomst getekend met Petrofac, de fabrikant van olie-, gas- en energiefaciliteiten.

Petrofac zal technisch ontwerp en supply chain-ontwikkelingsdiensten leveren voor de projectpijplijn van Powerhouse, inclusief de plastics-naar-waterstoffabriek in het Protos Energy Park nabij Chester.

Peel NRE, Powerhouse's partner bij Protos, heeft Petrofac ook bevestigd als de voorkeursleveringspartner voor de voorgestelde bouw van de faciliteit op de site.

PowerHouse Energy Group Plc (AIM:PHE) verwierf op 22 juni 2023 het resterende belang van 52% in Engsolve Global Ltd van Paul Emmitt en Richard Riddell voor £ 0,6 miljoen. James Joyce, James Bavister en Enzo Aliaj van WH Ireland Limited traden op als financiële adviseur van PowerHouse Energy Group.
PowerHouse Energy Group Plc (AIM:PHE) voltooide de overname van het resterende belang van 52% in Engsolve Global Ltd van Paul Emmitt en Richard Riddell op 22 juni 2023.

Overname door PHE van het volledige aandeelhouderschap vanEngsolve Ltd:

Krachtpatser Energy Group Plc (AIM: PHE), een bedrijf dat pioniert op het gebied van geïntegreerde technologie die niet-recyclebaar afval omzet in koolstofarme energie, is verheugd aan te kondigen dat het de overname heeft afgerond van het volledige uitstaande aandeelhouderschap van het ingenieursadviesbureau,Engsolve Ltd("Engsolve") voor een contante vergoeding van£ 572.000.

Reden van de overname:

Op12 augustus 2021, kondigde PHE aan dat het een belang van 48% had verworven in Engsolve, een privébedrijf gevestigd inBridgenddat nauw heeft samengewerkt met PHE aan het Protos Plastics to Hydrogen-project en meer recente toekomstige projecten. Engsolve heeft aanzienlijke ervaring in technisch ontwerp en ondersteuning, kostenraming en -controle, projectbeheer en veiligheidsrisicobeoordelingen in een reeks van industrieën, waaronder energie uit afval, hernieuwbare energiebronnen en groene energie, en zal de capaciteiten van PHE aanvullen bij de ontwikkeling van zijn technologie en projectimplementatie . De interne technische capaciteit zal PHE ook in staat stellen om inkomstenstromen naar het bedrijf te ontwikkelen die voorheen niet beschikbaar waren voor het bedrijf. Voor het afgesloten jaar31 maart 2022Engsolve boekte een winst voor het jaar van£ 195.155.

Transactie met verbonden partij:

Engsolve was voor 48% eigendom van PHE en voor 52% van de twee directeuren, Paul Emmitt En Richard Riddel. Mijnheer Emmitt is de Chief Operating Officer van PHE.Mijnheer Emmitt heeft zijn volledige belang in Engsolve verkocht en is een verbonden partij volgens de AIM-regels voor bedrijven. De transactie met hem is dan ook een transactie met een verbonden partij in de zin van dit reglement.

De onafhankelijke Bestuurders van de Vennootschap (zijnde de voltallige raad behalvePaul EmmittEnKeith Rileydie niet onafhankelijk worden geacht vanwege hun rol als directeur van Engsolve), na overleg met WH Ireland, de benoemde adviseur van PHE, de voorwaarden van de transactie met verbonden partijen als eerlijk en redelijk beschouwen voor zover het de aandeelhouders van het bedrijf betreft.

Tony Garner Hillman, merkte niet-uitvoerend voorzitter van PHE op:

"We zijn verheugd dat we het resterende aandelenkapitaal van Engsolve hebben verworven. Deze overname consolideert de positie van Engsolve binnen PHE en zal het bedrijf voorzien van een veilig technisch hulpmiddel dat de capaciteiten en activiteiten van het bedrijf voor de toekomst zal verbeteren."

Paul Emmitt, algemeen directeur en oprichter van Engsolve merkte op:

Hydrogen Utopia International’s Subsidiary, Alister Future Technologies, Secures EU Grant for Atlantic Plastic Pollution Project

Hydrogen Utopia International PLC has reported that its Irish subsidiary, Alister Future Technologies (AFT) Limited, has secured an EU grant. The grant supports a transnational European consortium devoted to combating plastic pollution in the Atlantic regions of Europe. It is anticipated that AFT will be reimbursed for 75% of up to EUR 450,000 in expenses, incurred as they develop a solution to convert plastic waste into syngas and hydrogen.

The consortium unites organizations across the European Atlantic region, consisting of 7 partners from 4 countries. This includes 3 universities, 1 public regional body, 1 not-for-profit private organization, and 2 specialized SMEs, one of which is AFT.

This grant is part of the Interreg Atlantic Area 2021-2027 European Development Fund. The fund covers the western part of the Atlantic Ocean, including all regions of Ireland and Portugal, and several French and Spanish regions adjacent to or on the Atlantic Ocean. The Interreg Atlantic programme budget for 2021-2027, which was formally approved by the European Commission on 8th September 2022, stands at EUR 113 million. It offers funding for up to 75% of investments through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

A message from our Acting Chief Executive Officer, Keith Riley

Welcome to this mid-year newsletter. In this edition we have an update on Protos, a welcome to Engsolve from Paul Emmitt, a guest article from our colleagues at Petrofac, and news on our annual report which was just published. Make sure you read them all.

The second quarter of 2023 has seen some major developments for the company – not least the acquisition of the remaining shareholding in Engsolve Ltd, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of

the Group, and the taking over of the plastics to hydrogen project at Protos from Peel. That’s not to mention the launch of a new website, which I hope conveys what PHE is all about more clearly than the old one did.

I visualise PHE as being on a journey that takes it to becoming a profitable business that makes a major impact in the markets for treatment of wastes, chemical recycling, and low carbon energy production. The road has twists and turns and bumps as well as potholes. If we pick the right vehicle, it will handle the bends, take the bumps without too much discomfort, and deal with the potholes. The road is not a smoothly surfaced autobahn – but that means we can avoid the devastation of high-speed crashes. The share price maybe in a pothole at time of writing, but if we can create a robust organisation that has confidence and resilience in what it is doing, we will soon climb out and get on our way.

Compared to some, PHE has reached a fairly advanced point in the development of its product without spending large sums on equipment, buildings or technical development. Take for example, Recycling Technologies Ltd, to name but one. RT received over £75 million through various grants and deals, but still fell over and went into administration last year. PHE is not very far away in its technical development from where RT was when it went into administration but has spent nothing like that getting there. In my view, PHE had not spent enough. It must invest in itself and has started to do this with the Powerhouse Technology Centre. The cost will be a couple of million pounds, but we are setting it up to be a source of income as well a more enhanced R&D capability than we had at Thornton. We do not relish RT’s passing, and I use it as an example just to put into context that despite progress being slower than people expected, PHE is good value for money and shareholders can be assured that we are spending their funds wisely. The building in Bridgend will be ready for occupation next month and the Feedstock Testing Unit is well into its manufacture and should be installed in the autumn. We are also advertising for staff to form the team under Dr Andy Physick, PHE’s Head of Technology Development.

The Engsolve acquisition is another example of investment. Bringing the Engsolve team into the Powerhouse Group will provide the company with an engineering capability it is not had until now, and an ability to bring in early revenues. PHE and Engsolve have worked closely together for several years, but this latest move will allow Engsolve to align entirely with the goals and objectives of the Group. We think it has an exciting future and it is a pleasure to welcome the team to PHE. Paul Emmitt, who is PHE’s COO, but has led Engsolve since its inception, gives his own welcome below.

Of course, the big news of the year is PHE taking over the development of the Protos project from Peel. Peel will keep a keen interest in progress on the project but will no longer be actively involved in its development. Whilst on the surface this appears to be a major shift, PHE has been heavily involved in the project management and all aspects of the project for well over a year and is well placed to pick up the reigns. The task of bringing finance into the project is not significantly different from what it was previously and essentially comes down to getting the various parts of the financing jigsaw puzzle in place. A more detailed description of how we intend to go about that is given in the Annual Report and well worth a read.

So we continue on the journey and we will communicate progress as it occurs. Most of it, however, is about the team continuing to do their work to put things in place and it is not possible for commercial – and sometimes for stock market regulatory – reasons to report the details. Just because a few weeks go by without breaking news does not mean we are not doing anything. I assure everyone, we are pushing forward on all fronts. It is a journey, and as the kids commonly ask “are we there yet?” Not yet – but if we keep going, we will be.

Powerhouse Energy verheugt zich over vooruitgang octrooi voor afvalbehandelingsmethode

(Alliance News) - Powerhouse Energy Group PLC vierde donderdag de goedkeuring van haar Europese octrooiaanvraag voor de behandeling van afvalmateriaal.

Powerhouse is een in Bingley, Engeland gevestigde producent van waterstof uit afvalplastic.

Het bedrijf vertelde investeerders dat haar Europese patentaanvraag voor de "Methode en Apparaat voor de Behandeling van Afvalmateriaal" is "toegestaan". Dit betekent dat de aanvraag na betaling van de verschuldigde vergoeding zal worden behandeld en volledig zal worden toegekend.

Het octrooi heeft betrekking op de bescherming rond de controle van de verwarming van het afval in de thermische conversiekamer over verschillende zones, zodat er optimaal synthesegas geproduceerd kan worden.

Hierdoor kan het temperatuurprofiel in de kamer worden aangepast om de optimale synthesegassamenstelling te verkrijgen.

"Dit is een belangrijke stap voor het bedrijf om zich te vestigen als een belangrijke ontwikkelaar binnen de afvalverwerkingssector. De goedkeuring van de patentaanvraag is een belangrijke stap om het patent volledig toegekend te krijgen, wat waarde toevoegt aan wat PHE haar klanten kan bieden," zei waarnemend Chief Executive Officer Keith Riley.

Krachtpatser Energy Group PLC(AIM:PHE) chief operating officer Paul Emmitt spreekt tegen Thomas Warnervan Proactive London na de aankondiging van een belangrijke update in zijn aanvraag bij de Europese autoriteiten voor het verlenen van patenten voor onderdelen van het afval-naar-energieproces van het bedrijf.

Emmitt geeft een overzicht van het laatste nieuws en benadrukt datKrachtige energiewil profiteren van het nieuwe eenheidsoctrooisysteem waarmee het de dekking van het octrooi kan uitbreiden tot het geheel vanEuropa,Groot Brittanië, EnIerlandmet een enkele applicatie. Daarnaast heeft het bedrijf twee andere patenten gelanceerd in afwachting van feedback van deEuropees Octrooibureau. Emmett spreekt zijn vertrouwen uit in de goedkeuring van het ene patent op korte termijn, terwijl hij verwacht dat het andere langer zal duren.

De patenten draaien om hun innovatieve proces om afval om te zetten in energie met behulp van roterende camera's en stoominjectie.Krachtige energiestreeft ernaar hun positie in de markt te vestigen door internationale patenten te verwerven in deVS,Canada,Japan,Indonesië,Australië, EnZuid-Korea.

Temidden van deze octrooiaanvragen richt het bedrijf zich ook op de bouw van een technisch centrum om een ??proeffabriek te bouwen, waardoor ze hun ideeën kunnen valideren en nieuw intellectueel eigendom kunnen ontwikkelen. Emmett verwacht dat de proeffabriek tegen het einde van het jaar geïnstalleerd en in gebruik genomen zal worden en in het eerste kwartaal van 2024 operationeel zal zijn.

European Patent Grant Confirmed

Powerhouse Energy Group Plc (AIM: PHE), a company pioneering integrated technology that converts non-recyclable waste into low carbon energy, is pleased to announce that it has been notified by the European Patent Office that the Company's European Patent Application No 20751207.0, "Method and Apparatus for the Treatment of Waste Material", will be fully granted on the 11 October 2023.

As stated in the Company's announcement of 13 July 2023, the patent is in relation to protection around the control of the heating of the waste within the Thermal Conversion Chamber ("TCC") over several zones to allow the optimum synthesis gas to be produced. This allows the temperature profile in the TCC to be adjusted to give the optimal syngas composition. The TCC is the main thermal chamber or kiln where the conversion of the waste feedstock to a syngas takes place.

The UK and Europe are expected to become key markets and the granting of patent protection in these territories is therefore an important step for the Company. PHE continues discussions with a number of clients, from a diverse range of industries and sectors, each of which requires a solution for their waste and are seeking to reduce reliance on virgin fossil fuels.

PHE looks forward to progressing its other patent applications within the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
