DJ MARKET TALK: Kudelski Completed OpenTV Tender Offer Positive

1004 GMT [Dow Jones] Kudelski (KUD.VX) completion of the tender offer for around 60% of OpenTV (OPTV) shares is a small positive for the company, says Helvea analyst Reto Amstalden. "Kudelski is on track to fully acquire OpenTV which should eliminate uncertainty regarding the exploitation of cost synergies with OpenTV," he says. Notes, however, that so far, Kudelski doesn´t own enough shares yet to delist OpenTV, which would eventually save a few millions in accounting costs. Also, a full integration of OpenTV would lead to initially higher R&D costs as OpenTV has some product shortcomings. Rates Kudelski at neutral with a CHF23 target. Shares +4% at CHF23.50. (JUM)
