Top-of-the-range trim for Fiat's van range
FIAT'S Tecnico version of the best-selling Ducato has proved so popular that the company has extended the concept to other models in the commercial vehicle range.
The Ducato Tecnico is based on the Ducato 35 Van 2.3 Litre 130 MultiJet LWB.
A new Ducato Tecnico version based on the Ducato 30 Van 2.3 Litre 130 MultiJet II SWB (L1H1) is now available to order and once again features a wealth of attractive additional standard equipment. The additional standard equipment that Tecnico versions provide includes air conditioning, front fog lights, Blue&Me with steering wheel controls, TomTom predisposition on the dashboard, B&M TomTom Live navigator plus cradle, Start&Stop, special wheel trims, reverse parking sensors and eco:Drive Professional software.
Ducato Tecnico versions are now available to order in all pastel colours and for an additional Pounds 100 can be ordered with metallic paint.
Fiat is also extending the availability of the Tecnico version to the award-winning Doblo Cargo. The two versions are the Doblo Cargo Tecnico 1.3 MultiJet II 90hp and the Doblo Cargo MAXI Tecnico 1.6 MultiJet 105hp.
Doblo Cargo Tecnico versions are based on the SX version so the additional standard equipment includes air conditioning, Blue&Me with steering wheel controls, TomTom predisposition on the dashboard, B&M Tom-Tom Live navigator plus cradle, Start&Stop, reverse parking sensors and eco:Drive Professional software. When compared to the Ducato Tecnico versions, front fog lights and special wheel trims are already included in the standard equipment on the SX trim level for Doblo Cargo.
Both Ducato Tecnico and Doblo Cargo Tecnico versions are easily identifiable as they feature a Tecnico badge positioned on the rear door. Fiat's Doblo Cargo was the first LCV to have a bi-link rear suspension which ensures a smooth ride, lower loading height and better width between wheelarches. Additionally, the bi-link suspension permits a rear axle load up to 1,450kg.
The Doblo Cargo sits on an all-new platform that makes it a class leader in all the areas that matter most to professional drivers. It has great carrying capacity in both weight and size terms: up to 1 ton payload and up to 5.0 m3 volume.
The award-winning loadcarrier is available with a choice of five low emissions, Euro 5-specification engines, and comes in several different forms combining dimensions, trim levels, engines and body types - Cargo, Cargo Maxi, Cargo SX, Cargo Tecnico, Cargo Maxi SX, Cargo Maxi Tecnico, Combi, Combi Maxi, Platform Cab, Work Up, and XL - to offer solutions for a wide spectrum of commercial vehicle users. The engine line-up comprises four MultiJet diesels - 1.3 (90bhp), 1.6 (105bhp), 1.6 Comfort-Matic (90bhp) and 2.0 (135bhp) and a 1.4-litre 16v 95bhp petrol unit, providing best in class fuel consumption and CO2emissions.
Fiat says that these attributes make the Doblo Cargo the most versatile, efficient and best-performing van in its class.
Models from across the Fiat van range can now be had in the top- of-the-range Sportivo trim. Upgraded styling and new engines make this trim unique and Fiat has already unveiled it on the Fiat Fiorino and the Fiat Ducato at the 2014 Commercial Vehicle Show.
The Sportivo trim costs Pounds 700 more than the Tecnico specification and creates a sporty look by adding alloy wheels, exclusive Sportivo side-stripes and painted bumpers. Kit taken from the Tecnico trim is also fitted, including air con, front fog lights and parking sensors.
Models available in this trim level range include the Fiat Fiorino Sportivo 1.3 95 MultiJet II, the Fiat Doblo Cargo Sportivo 1.6 105 MultiJet, the Fiat Scudo Sportivo 2.0 130 MultiJet and the Fiat Ducato Sportivo 2.3 150 MultiJet II.
