A pair of House Democrats are launching a new probe of what they called the “complex web of relationships” between members of the National Rifle Association and Russian individuals with close ties to the Kremlin.

In a letter members said they were sending to NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre, a copy of which was shared with ABC News, Rep. Ted Lieu of California and Rep. Kathleen Rice of New York expressed concern about the NRA’s attempts to distance itself from any formal involvement in a now infamous trip to Moscow undertaken by a group of its high-ranking members.

While the NRA’s outside counsel William Brewer told The New York Times that LaPierre “was opposed to the trip” and even prohibited staff members from joining the delegation out of concern that it would be perceived as officially sanctioned, internal NRA emails and photos posted on social media reviewed by ABC News appear to show the organization was significantly involved in planning it.

Lieu, a member of the House Committee on the Judiciary, and Rice, a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, suggested the discrepancy might be evidence of a broader deception and requested a full accounting of any communications, meetings and monetary transactions between NRA officials and Russia-linked individuals.

“We are disturbed by the lack of transparency the NRA has demonstrated surrounding the December 2015 trip to Moscow,” wrote Lieu and Rice on Feb. 15. “Furthermore, we are concerned that this extends to other allegations that have been made against the organization as it relates to Russia.”

Citing what they called the NRA’s “unusually close relationship” with the Trump campaign, as well as its record spending in support of then-candidate Donald Trump, Lieu and Rice ultimately questioned whether the Kremlin might have used the NRA to funnel foreign money into the U.S. election system.

“How much money did the NRA receive from Russia or Russia-linked individuals or entities during the 2016 election cycle?” the lawmakers asked. “Did the NRA use any of that money in their 2016 election campaign contributions?”

Trump can’t run the Mueller playbook on New York feds
For starters, they have jurisdiction over the president’s political operation and businesses — subjects that executive privilege doesn't cover.

Even as speculation mounts that special counsel Robert Mueller might be winding down his investigation, a parallel threat to President Donald Trump only seems to be growing within his own Justice Department: the Southern District of New York.

Manhattan-based federal prosecutors can challenge Trump in ways Mueller can’t. They have jurisdiction over the president’s political operation and businesses — subjects that aren’t protected by executive privilege, a tool Trump is considering invoking to block portions of Mueller’s report. From a PR perspective, Trump has been unable to run the same playbook on SDNY that he’s used to erode conservatives’ faith in Mueller, the former George W. Bush-appointed FBI director. Legal circles are also buzzing over whether SDNY might buck DOJ guidance and seek to indict a sitting president.

The threat was highlighted when SDNY prosecutors ordered officials from Trump’s inaugural committee to hand over donor and financial records. It was the latest aggressive move from an office that has launched investigations into the president’s company, former lawyer and campaign finance practices. New York prosecutors have even implicated Trump in a crime.

Add it all up and the result is a spate of hard-to-stymie, legally perilous probes that appears on track to drag on well into Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign. SDNY stands poised to carry on Mueller’s efforts whenever the special counsel’s office closes shop, and it’s likely to draw even more attention if freshly confirmed Attorney General William Barr — who now oversees the Russia probe as DOJ head — clamps down on the public release of Mueller’s findings.

Argument: we halen geld weg uit het militaire bouwfonds omdat we moeten garanderen dat de 4000 militairen aan de grens veilig zijn. En daarom bouwen we een muur.

Hij stelt ook dat de slechterikken met opzet mensen naar de points of entry sturen zodat men daar druk is, en onderwijl smokkelen ze dan van alles elders over de grens.

En hij stelt dat wanneer blijkt dat 80-90% van de drugs bij PoI worden onderschept, dit betekent dat er nog veel meer elders over de grens komt.

En dat allemaal zonder enige onderbouwende data.

En dit is een van de belangrijkste adviseurs van trump. Naast Hannity, Limbaugh, en Kushner

Mr Spock draait zich om in zijn graf.

Onderdeel van trump's economomische plan is stimulans voor economie door het verwijderen van regulering.

Klinkt zinngig, een beetje althans, als je voorbij gaat aan het feit waarom er gereguleerd wordt.

Kijken we bijvoorbeeld eens naar steenkool. Bloeiende industrie, vooral in armere gebieden (op zichal een studie waard :-) )
Maar teruglopend, want vies.

Dus start trump The War On Coal. Weg met de reguleringen.

Bv dit, uit een boekje van Kudlow, Moore en Laffer:

Hoe nu? geen regulering, en toch zijn alternatieven goedkoper aan het worden? Hmmm. Zou het kunnen dat die reguleringen een stimulans gaven aan het onderzoek naar alternatieven, en dat dit uiteindelijk heeft geleidt tot goedkope en schone alternatieven?
Zou het kunnen zijn dat regulering niet negatief hoeft te werken?

En zou het kunnen dat trump de 'War on Coal' heeft verloren, en dus de arme bevolking in Appalachia heeft belazerd?

Wat doe je als president, wanneer je een muurtje wilt bouwen en het geld komt niet snel genooeg?
Je kondigt een National Emergency af, terwijl er niets aan de hand is, zodat je onbeperkt geld uit de staatskas kan halen

Wat doe je als President, wanneer er een illegale coup poging tegen de President of the United States wordt beraamd?. Normaal schakel je de veiligheidsdiensten en/of het leger in om deze coup poging tot in de kiem te smoren en de verdachten te arresteren.

President Trump heeft een andere oplossing. Ga rustig in je stoel zitten en stuur een tweet naar het volk. Maak het volk boos op degene die je beschuldigt van de coup poging. Een vorm van ophitsing en opruiing van de bevolking.

Bij een coup poging neem je de juiste maatregelen. Dit komt niet geloofwaardig over.

Waarom kijk jij niet naar het interview en praat je alle indoctrinerende sites, twitteraccounts, en vlogs na. Wie is de verrader? Een President die zijn oor te luister legt bij Putin, of de veiligheidsdiensten die Trump waarschuwen voor gevaarlijke situaties van het land ?

Roger Stone's Note of Apology.

Het lijken wel amateurs, zijn advocaten :
! specificatie ontbreekt aangaande datum, tijdstip. Hij heeft meer dan 5 keer deze dag op Instagram gepost. Dan is het niet duidelijk waar hij excuses voor aanbiedt.
2 Excuses voor foto. Maar hij heeft 2 foto's van de rechter geplaatst, met tekst. Maakt hij dan voor de ene excuses en de andere niet?
3 door excuses aan te bieden bekent hij al op voorhand schuld.
4 excuses voor foto op Instragram staat er op pagina 1. Instragam bestaat niet. Dus in principe is deze Note of Apology ongeldig.

Zijn doel was :
1 de aanklacht tegen hem was gekoppeld aan de rechtszaak tegen GRU(Russische Militaire Inlichtingendienst) leden. Dit wilde hij ontkoppelen
2hij wilde dat de rechter zich terugtrok en een andere rechter aangesteld werd.

Hij zou kunnen zeggen: De rechter is door mij beledigd en daardoor bevooroordeeld. Daardoor moet zij zich terugtrekken. Ik denk niet dat deze vlieger opgaat.

We zien de reactie van de rechter tegemoet.

Deze arme berooide oude man heeft zijn advocaten laten werken op 18 2 2019, President's Day. Dat is een vrije dag dus de advocaten zullen wel een feestdag toeslag in rekening brengen. Zo arm als hij zich doet voorkomen , zo hard smijt hij met geld.

Om geld in te zamelen voor zijn proceskosten heeft hij een rekening geopend. Ook verkoopt hij T-Shirts waarop staat : Roger Stone did nothing wrong.

Kan hij na dit debacle veranderen in : Roger Stone did something wrong.

overigens , het indienen van een note of apology is een zeldzaamheid.
Het gebeurt wel, maar dan bij 16 jarigen en dan zijn de notes of apology op een hand te tellen.
Welke volwassene is er nu zo dom de rechter die het oordeel over jou moet vellen te gaan beledigen?
Dit zegt al genoeg over Roger Stone.
