Radio Hill krijgt op dit moment dus een update en is a.s. juni gereed en operationeel.
Lijkt mij, dat tijdens die update zaken zijn aangepakt.

Dat zou kunnen, maar ik zie het ze nog niet doen. Oude plant, geen ervaring, opstartkosten en ze hebben weinig cash. Als ze die problemen oplossen ben ik het volledig met je eens.

nog even over je opmerking aangaande bezittingen waar niet veel uit gaat komen qua cashflow... ik denk, dat Artemis één van de weinige juniors is, die op zeer korte termijn juist wel cashflow gaat genereren door daadwerkelijk te gaan produceren.
Bij vele andere juniors is nog een veel groter traject te gaan.
Vandaar mijn vermoeden, dat Artemis op uitbreken staat qua koers of in ieder geval een zeer interessant overnamekandidaat is op korte termijn.
Maar ze hebben vooralsnog de intentie om zelfstandig door te zetten.

ik weet bijna zeker, dat we de komende maanden voldoende nieuws krijgen aangaande de laatste beren op de weg.
Laatste berichten zijn in ieder geval zeer positief, maar dat is mijn mening.
Beleggen in dit soort bedrijven blijft uiteraard speculatief, echter denk ik dat Artemis nabij een switch is als bedrijf.

Artemis Resources Limited (“Artemis” or “the Company”) (ASX: ARV) is pleased to announce that the WA Department for Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (“DMIRS”) has today approved the Programme of Works (POW) to commence exploration on the Company’s 47K Patch (Figure 1 and 3) gold bearing conglomerates located on recently approved tenement E47/3443, which is located about 30km south of Karratha in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.

In addition, the DMIRS has approved a 9,600 tonne excess tonnage permit, which will allow Artemis to take 4,500 tonnes to the Company’s nearby Radio Hill plant site to process through the gravity plant, which is now permitted to treat this tonnage. The bulk sampling and processing programme will be managed by an independent group to report on recovered gold, tailings grade and overall head grade of the bulk samples. Earth moving equipment is already on site at 47K Patch and bulk sample locations will start to be identified over the next week.

The contract crushing plant has been ordered to mobilise and processing of bulk samples is will commence at Radio Hill when samples arrive from 47K Patch.

Gold Nuggets Recovered from 47K Patch: During rehabilitation work of previous prospector activity, Artemis has recovered 1,282.2 grams of gold. The rehabilitation work was completed to place the project back to original condition and profile before further ground disturbances occur. The gold nuggets were recovered from one small 20 metre by 6 metre by 1.5 metre deep area, which was the focus of prospectors over the previous 2 years. The style of mineralisation is yet to be determined and is thought to be paleoplacer or eluvial. The mineralisation style is part of the CSIRO research programme which is underway.

CSIRO Research in to Conglomerate Gold Mineralisation A field trip by CSIRO with Ed Mead was completed between the 22nd - 28th March and was the start of a research programme into the formation of conglomerate and paleoplacer gold. The programme is focused on 47K Patch, with site visits to Purdy’s Reward and other areas with conglomerates and sedimentary sequences as part of field orientation.

Een take out van Artemis is zeker niet onwaarschijnlijk en het is eigenlijk de enige reden dat ik de shares die ik heb aanhoudt.

Bedoel je daar overname mee? Dat strookt ook met mijn gedachte dan en kans is groot indien het geval, dat dit niet heel lang op zich gaat laten wachten.....

Verder nog een algemene vraag aan alle posters hier: Wat mij betreft worden er MINDER QUOTES opgenomen in de berichten. Het leidt erg af omdat vaak slechts aan een klein deel van een bericht wordt gerefereerd terwijl de hele lap tekst voor de tweede keer voor je neus verschijnt.

First Comet Well Bulk Sample Yields Numerous Gold Nuggets
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Novo Resources Corp. (“Novo” or the “Company”) (TSX-V:NVO) (OTCQX:NSRPF) is pleased to provide an update of processing of bulk samples from Comet Well, part of Novo’s greater Karratha gold project located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

During bulk sample processing, rock is first crushed and screened, and the minus 6.0 mm plus 2.5 mm fraction is fed through a conveyor fitted with a metal detector so that coarse gold nuggets can be isolated and extracted for study (see Figure 1). The remaining material is set aside for further gold analysis. Eighty nuggets, some partially embedded in rock matrix (see Figures 2 and 3), were recovered from bulk sample KX157 (7,143 kg), the first sample to be processed through the test plant at SGS Minerals, Perth (please refer to Novo’s news release dated February 6, 2018 for further details).

Bulk sample KX157 was collected from a trench exposing boulder conglomerate at the Powerline prospect (see Figures 4 and 5 and link to YouTube video showing Comet Well project here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv5e3j_KwSo). Importantly, this sample originates from a position approximately 0.3-0.8 m above the basal contact of the conglomerate package suggesting a thicker section of conglomerate is mineralized at Comet Well when compared to Purdy’s Reward where most gold is concentrated within a half meter of the basal surface. Metal detector strikes are recorded over approximately 4 m of conglomerate thickness at the Powerline prospect.

Recovered nuggets from bulk sample KX157 range in size from 3 mm to 2 cm. In spite of two stages of crushing, most appear intact and relatively unscathed retaining their characteristic flattened melon seed appearance, a clear indication of a water-worn alluvial origin. Fine-grained “halo” gold particles are observed around nuggets partially encased in rock matrix similar to that observed around nuggets recovered from Purdy’s Reward. Nuggets ultimately undergo further treatment to remove rock matrix so that an accurate mass of gold can be determined and important information about nugget size can be recorded for statistical purposes.

Following nugget extraction, bulk sample material is subjected to further processing including finer grinding and gravity gold separation. Samples of concentrates and tailings are collected from various points as material passes through the test plant. Once all subsamples have been analyzed, the Au grade of the bulk sample can be calculated.

Processing of bulk samples has been slower than expected due to a number of factors including rock hardness, additional screening steps, and complexities around tail homogenization and sampling. Various modifications have been, and are being, made to the test plant to improve reliability and increase capacity to process the Comet Well conglomerate within a well devised QA/QC framework. Steady state processing is estimated to be achieved within 6 weeks. Grade results for the first few samples from the Powerline prospect are now expected to return by late May. Currently, there are 18 samples from Comet Well in the queue at the laboratory.

“Treatment of bulk samples has required certain modifications to the test plant at SGS resulting in a modest delay in the return of grades from recently collected Comet Well samples,” commented Dr. Quinton Hennigh, President, Chairman and a director of Novo Resources Corp. “Nonetheless, we are very pleased to see numerous gold nuggets emerge from the first bulk sample to be processed, KX157. This result provides us confidence that our strategy of collecting +5 tonne samples is appropriate for this style of mineralization. In many respects, we are dealing with a gold deposit akin to diamondiferous kimberlite, rock that is routinely bulk sampled to yield sufficient diamonds for grade estimation. As done for diamonds, we are analyzing the size of gold nuggets to provide statistical data to better understand this deposit. We look forward to receiving further data including grade from this sample and several others from Comet Well by late May.”

Het is apart dat Novo zich niet waagt aan een vermelding van de recovery rate in termen van aantal grammen gevonden goud. Waar Artemis dat soort terughoudendheid niet kent en een zeer hoog getal noemt tov de omvang van het sample, hult Novo zich in vaagheden op dit vlak.
Toch is het het meest interessante gegeven natuurlijk, dus laten we eens kijken op we er een slag naar kunnen slaan met ons boerenverstand:

Er is sprake van ongeveer tachtig nuggets in een sample van plm 7 ton.
De nuggets zijn 2 tot 3 mm groot
Deze nuggets hebben een ‘watermelon seed’ vorm: daar stel ik me bij voor: plat, aan de uiteinden wat puntig en min op meer opbollend in het midden en afvlakkend naar de randen.
Als we het volume van die nuggets bij benadering zouden kennen, kan dat vermenigvuldigd worden met het soortelijk gewicht van goud: 19,2 g/ cm3

Om het volume van een dergelijke vorm bij benadering te berekenen zou dat een differentiaalberekening met bolcoördinaten vergen. Omdat dat voor mij wel erg lang geleden is pak ik het veel eenvoudiger aan: ik doe net of het rechthoekige platte blokjes zijn. (Dat is niet heel nauwkeurig en voor Novo ook veel gunstiger omdat we dan de ‘watermelon seeds’ wat groter maken dan ze eigenlijk zijn)

OK. De nuggets zijn ‘2 tot 3mm’ groot
Stel: Ze zijn 3 x 2 x 1 mm groot (we houden de grootste maat, 3 mm in de lengte, aan)
Het volume is dan: 0,3 x 0,2 x 0,1 cm= 0,006 cm3
0,006 x 19,2= 0,1152 gram goud per nugget
0,1152 x 80 nuggets = *drumroll* 9,216 gram goud in 7 ton bulk sample

Geeft: 1,32 g/ ton
En dan zit ik dus waarschijnlijk aan de zeer hoge kant waar het deze schatting betreft.

Conclusie: 1,3 g/ton is een respectabele waarde, en aan de oppervlakte.
Maar lang niet zo spectaculair als eerdere berichtgeving suggereerde.

In die zin geen wonder dat Novo hier vaag over blijft.

20 x 6 x 1,5 = plm 360 m3 gesteente. de meeste ‘normale’ gesteenten wegen ergens in de range van 2.200 kg tot 2.500 kg per m3. Gaan we laag zitten ( gunstig voor Artemis dus), dan houden we 2.2 ton / m3 aan.
360 x 2.2 = 792 zeg 800 ton gesteente.

Daaruit kwam maar liefst 1.282 gram goud:
1282/800= 1,6 g/ton.

Een zeer goede waarde, maar op geen enkele manier verifieerbaar want niet onder gecontroleerde omstandigheden uitgevoerd.
En ook hier geldt: komt nog niet zelfs maar in de buurt van eerdere suggesties.
Eigenlijk erg teleurstellend, in dat licht bezien.

Tja, hoe vaag kan het worden... Wat moeten we daar nu mee...

Grappig is wel dat de grades van twee totaal verschillende bulksamples zo te zien in dezelfde range uitkomen qua grades:
zo rond de 1,5 g/ton ( en dan ga ik aan alle kanten aan de hoge kant zitten)

Nogmaals, dat is lang niet slecht, maar rechtvaardigt niet de hysterie.

Beiden hebben echt wat te bewijzen nu.

Tja, ik vind het een nogal verwarde, of in ieder geval vewarrende, opsomming van vanalles door elkaar heen, een soort van graaibak bij de Dirk van den Broek: men boort allerlei gaten op allerlei plekken waar vanalles uitkomt, tot aan totaal oninteressante restwaarden kobalt aan toe. Dan zit er ineens een soort indicated resource bij waar eigenlijk alleen het goudgehalte en misschien het Cu gehalte interessant zou zijn: iets van 2,3 Mt @1,5 of zoiets, maakt 2,3 miljoen x 1,5 g= maar liefst 100k ounces goud wat volkomen pathetic is... Nog nooit een goudjunior die met dat soort crap naar buiten durft te komen gezien... maar ze maken niet voor niets de rekensom niet af., wat nu toch wel een patroon lijkt td worden bij zowel Novo als ArteMIS...

Dan de mill, die wordt ook nog even tussen neus & lippen door de soep geroerd... 500.000 ton per jaar capaciteit.
Stel ze mieteren daar volcontinue bulksample grade (zeg 1,5 g/t) doorheen dan kom je op :

500k x 1,5 gr= 750k g= 23,5 k ounces per jaar...

Het is allemaal klein bier en het rammelt aan alle kanten, dit PB.
Hoogst onprofessioneel, misschien eens een PR tiepje inhuren...

S&J: zo lang je vast blijft houden aan ouderwetse manieren zul je inderdaad nooit het potentieel kunnen zien van Artemis of Novo. Vooral die laatste zal op een onconventionele manier de ounces uit de grond moeten halen en tja.... hoe dat weten we nog niet maar dat het goud aanwezig is dat zal toch niemand meer kunnen ontkennen.

Novo noteert trouwens alweer dik boven de $5 maar beleggers die (opnieuw) zijn ingestapt zijn in jouw ogen waarschijnlijk allemaal sufferds die geloven in "dit soort crap".... We zullen het zien....

Artemis is halted, ik denk dat er een goede reden moet zijn voor Dave Lenigas om z'n Novo shares in de verkoop te zetten. Misschien komt Artemis partner MacArthur hier om de hoek kijken........

Pilbara gold darling Artemis puts Novo Resources shares up for sale

Artemis Resources is selling its shares in Canadian joint venture partner Novo Resources — which could fetch the Pilbara explorer a tidy $C22.1 million ($29.7 million) if the shares are sold at market value.

Artemis (ASX:ARV) went into a trading halt this morning ahead of a deal to sell its 4 million shares in the TSX Venture Exchange-listed company.

Novo’s share price closed at $C5.52 on the TSX-V Tuesday.

But Artemis isn’t short of cash, with roughly $17.4 million cash in the kitty and no debt at the end of the last quarter.

Artemis and Novo are partners in the Purdy’s Reward project south of Karratha in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

Artemis’ share price has come down quite a bit from the peak of 59c it hit mid-November last year, closing at 19c on Tuesday.

The pair kicked off a bit of a gold rush in the Pilbara region mid-last year after they revealed they had found gold nuggets that were eventually confirmed as conglomerate-hosted gold.

Conglomerate gold refers to nuggets hosted in rock featuring rounded gray quartz pebbles and other minerals. The world’s most productive gold region, South Africa’s Witwatersrand Basin, is famous for its conglomerate geological formation.

But the nuggety gold in the Pilbara is proving somewhat difficult to drill and the joint venture partners have had to undertake bulk sampling instead.

Artemis is also more focused on nickel these days and building up its war chest at its Radio Hill operations.

“When it comes to our conglomerate play I am letting our Canadian joint venture partner Novo Resources take the running of that,” chairman David Lenigas told Stockhead in April.

The company declined to comment until it has emerged from the trading halt, which is expected to happen by Friday.
