Solar3D's SUNworks Division Set to Install Three Megawatts of Solar Systems at Jackson Family Wineries
Prominent Winery Has Contracted With SUNworks for Major Project at Multiple Locations
Marketwired

ROSEVILLE, CA--(Marketwired - July 22, 2014) - Solar3D, Inc. (SLTD), a leading solar power company and the developer of a proprietary high efficiency solar cell, today announced that its SUNworks division has finalized a contract with Jackson Family Winery ("JFW") to install solar systems totaling up to 3 megawatts, located throughout a number of JFW Properties.

Abe Emard, SUNworks CEO, stated, "Once completed, the installed systems will offset nearly 70% of the wineries electrical consumption. The projected savings over the next 25 years will be approximately $11MM."

Julian Gervrean, JFW Senior Sustainability Manager, said, "We have been working on this project with SUNworks for quite some time. After several months of planning, it's exciting to see it come to fruition. This is a giant step forward for us in meeting our sustainability goals."

Last year JFW commissioned SUNworks to complete a 300kW solar system located at their newly renovated Ramal Winery located inside Napa Valley.

The SUNworks management team plans to complete the JFW projects by November 2014.

SUNworks continues to prove it is on the forefront of the solar industry. Mike Podnebesnyy, Vice President of SUNworks stated, "I am proud of the unique design and installation on this project. In this case, battery storage will be implemented in conjunction with solar PV to give our customer control over their demand consumption. We believe this is the direction in which our industry is heading. SUNworks is on the leading edge of this offering and is discussing this option with our current and future customers."

Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D, concluded, "It was exciting to have such a prominent company like Jackson Family Wineries trust SUNworks with their installation at Ramal Winery. To have them come back and engage SUNworks to facilitate an additional 3 megawatts on some of the wineries most prestigious locations is a tribute to the quality of the work SUNworks is doing."

SUNworks is focused on the design, installation and management of solar systems for agricultural, commercial, & residential customers. SUNworks has delivered hundreds of 2.5 kilowatt to 1-megawatt commercial systems and has the capability to deliver systems as big as 25 megawatts.

Second quarter results will be reported with Solar3D's 10Q, due to be filed shortly. The results of SUNworks full quarter will be consolidated with Solar3D's results for the first time on the second quarter 10Q.

Solar3D Reports Second Quarter Revenue of $7.5 Million
Leading Solar Power Company Files Second Quarter 10Q and Reports Record Quarterly Sales
GlobeNewswire
Solar3D, Inc. July 24, 2014 3:15 AM

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Solar3D, Inc. (SLTD), a leading solar power company and the developer of a proprietary high efficiency solar cell, today filed its 10Q for the second quarter of 2014. This is the first time it has reported full consolidated financial results since its acquisition of SUNworks, a rapidly growing provider of solar systems, based in Roseville, California. The quarterly report contains SUNworks' second quarter sales of $7.5 million representing an increase of over 600% compared to Q1 2014, resulting in operating profits in excess of $762,000.

"We are thrilled with our second quarter results, which have surpassed our initial expectations," said Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D. "SUNworks' revenue and profit margins are outstanding — with sales for the quarter approaching the sales level of all of 2013, and profit already exceeding the previous year. Our future looks brighter than ever."

Solar3D completed the acquisition of SUNworks, a profitable solar systems provider, on January 31, 2014. Nelson calls it an "aggressive" entry into the California solar systems market, where 2013 rooftop solar installations more than doubled from 1,000 megawatts (MW) to 2,000 MW. With the combination of the SUNworks operating division, and the anticipated commercialization of Solar3D's breakthrough 3-dimensional solar cell, the company is well positioned to take advantage of the exploding California commercial and residential solar market.

"We are pleased that the acquisition and financial consolidation since the start of 2014 is finally complete and that we can fully report the exciting growth underway at SUNworks," said Nelson. While organic growth alone is anticipated to make the company substantially larger in 2014, Nelson also reported that Solar3D is actively seeking additional acquisitions to enlarge the SUNworks division, and is in conversations with a number of candidate firms. Additionally, the company's proprietary Solar3D cell is quickly advancing technologically, with announcements expected throughout the year.

Solar3D Completes Third Generation Working Prototype
With 3D Light Trapping Prototype Complete, the Company Is Now Searching for a Manufacturing Partner
Marketwired
July 24, 2014 12:17 PM

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwired - July 24, 2014) - Solar3D, Inc. (SLTD), a leading solar power company and the developer of a proprietary high efficiency solar cell, today announced the successful fabrication and operation of the working third generation working prototype of its 3-dimensional silicon solar cell.

Dr. Changwan Son, Solar3D's Director of Technology, commented, "We are pleased to have completed our next prototype. We are very encouraged by our lab results and have concluded that it is time to prepare to take the next step toward commercialization by working with a manufacturer partner."

"Our technology team has worked very hard on this product," said Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D. "Two powerful characteristics of our 3D Solar Cell make it superior to current technology. First, it is substantially more efficient in producing power. Second, is our wide-angle light collection feature, which allows our 3D Solar Cell to collect light at all times of the day, month and year, an attribute unique in the solar world. Our early computer simulation analysis indicated that the combination of these two features would produce double the power of a conventional solar cell. Our early indication is that we will be able to meet that ambitious goal. This device could be a giant leap forward, allowing solar power to achieve grid parity."

Dr. Son continued, "Our mandate was to create a solar cell that would produce substantially more power than the current technology at a low enough cost of production to deliver a considerably lower cost per watt of solar electricity. Now, we intend to partner with a manufacturer who can take us to the last step -- final commercialization and manufacturing."

Mr. Nelson concluded, "We anticipate combining the last steps with one partner who will be able to produce a manufacturing prototype, do a test run, and go commercial. This approach will simplify the development process considerably. Finding the right partner is our goal. We are currently holding conversations with several potential partners, including large domestic and international manufacturers."

"We are currently holding conversations with several potential partners, including large domestic and international manufacturers."

Beleggen is eigen risico.

Mijn grootste zorgen zijn.

Grote aantal uitstaande aandelen
Slechte Balans verhouding

Hoe wil men de aangekondigde overnames financieren

Mooie opening overigens vandaag weer.

Solar3D Announces Battery Storage Solutions for Solar Energy Systems
The Company Is Now Offering Energy Storage Units With Its Solar Electric Systems to Maximize Efficiencies and Reduce Overall Cost
Marketwired Solar3D, Inc.

ROSEVILLE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 11, 2014) - Solar3D, Inc. (OTCQB: SLTD), a leading solar power company and the developer of a proprietary high efficiency solar cell, today announced that its SUNworks division is now offering "Battery Storage Systems" with its solar electric systems for customers seeking solar power solutions optimized for increased cost efficiency and reliability. SUNworks previously announced its entry into the battery storage market through a solar implementation project with Jackson Family Wines in Santa Rosa, CA.

Although not yet ideal for every solar system owner, battery storage will play a significant role in energy levelization and system outage protection. Drawing energy from the power grid during peak hours is extremely expensive, even just for a little bit of energy. The premise behind a battery storage system is that when rates are at peak pricing during the day, the system owner can draw from the battery storage unit instead of from the grid, then pull from the grid again as rates go down. The battery storage unit can also be recharged during "off peak" pricing thus levelizing the cost of energy even further. In addition, when the "grid" goes down, these battery storage units act as backup power, keeping necessary appliances and electronics running.

"The SUNWorks team is always seeking cutting edge techonlogies and innovations to give our clients more control over their energy expenses, thus maximizing their return on investment. We believe that battery storage technology is the next 'game changer' in the solar industry," said Abe Emard, CEO of SUNWorks.

"The solar systems market is experiencing rapid growth, as evidence by the growth of our own SUNworks division. However, for solar to become a primary and reliable source of energy, it must also be useful when the sun is not shining. Battery storage systems solve some of these issues. We are excited to roll out this solution as a new revenue stream in delivering more value to our current and future customers," said Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D.

SUNworks is focused on the design, installation and management of solar systems for agricultural, commercial, and residential customers, delivering hundreds of 2.5 kilowatt to 1-megawatt commercial systems, and with the capability to deliver systems as large as 25 megawatts.
