Washington has installed its controversial THAAD missile defence system in South Korea, which would be used shoot down North Korean short and medium range missiles in the event of war.

The Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (Thaad) system is designed to intercept and destroy short and medium-range ballistic missiles during their final phase of flight.

"South Korea and the United States have been working to secure an early operational capability of the Thaad system in response to North Korea's advancing nuclear and missile threat," South Korea's defence ministry said in a statement.

Dit was 4 jaar geleden en je geeft de indruk dat het gisteren gebeurd is.

In Mei 2017 heeft South Korea het THAAD missile defense system gekregen.

het lijkt net of er een hoop gebeurt in die regio met jouw stroom aan berichten, maar er gebeurt tot nog toe niks nakkes nada.

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korean leader Kim Jong Un presented economic plans to senior ruling party officials before an upcoming meeting to review the nation’s efforts to overcome severe hardships amid a prolonged COVID-19 crisis, state media said Tuesday.

The Korean Central News Agency said Kim held his consultations Monday in preparation for a meeting of the Workers’ Party’s powerful Central Committee to discuss state affairs for the first half of 2021. The meeting was set for early June and could take place as early as this week.

Kim’s plans were not specified but were described as intending to bring “tangible change” to stabilizing the economy and people’s living conditions.

Psychopathie is niet te genezen. De behandeling van volwassen psychopaten door psychologen levert weinig op. De behandeling van kinderen die psychopaat zijn, heeft daarentegen wel wat kleine resultaten opgeleverd.

Een psychopaat is mentaal ziek. En is hij gek? Wij als normaal mens zeggen ‘ja’. Een psychopaat echter zal vooral de ander gek vinden en zichzelf heel normaal vinden.

Willem Holleeder is ook neergezet als een psychopaat en een klootzak. "Ik heb niemand maar dan ook helemaal niemand opdracht gegeven voor liquidaties".

The agriculture sector is still recovering from storm damage incurred last year. Replacing domestic food supplies with imports will likely be difficult because borders remain mostly closed due to Covid-19 restrictions.

In the capital Pyongyang, prices of some staple goods are reportedly skyrocketing. Experts say rice and fuel prices are relatively stable still but imported staples such as sugar, soy bean oil and flour prices have gone up.

Kim Jong-Un warns of North Korea crisis similar to deadly 90s famine

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has told citizens to prepare for hard times ahead, following warnings from rights groups that the country faces dire food shortages and economic instability.

Speaking at a party conference, Mr Kim appeared to compare the situation to the devastating 1990s famine, estimated to have killed hundreds of thousands people.

North Korea has shut its borders due to the coronavirus pandemic.
