Job Title: Head of Technical Support
Department: Product Development
Reporting to: John Alexander
Responsible For: Technical support production application to colleagues, system partners and clients.
Main responsibilities and duties
1. Responsibility on a worldwide basis for:
a. Technical information and dissemination (in close collaboration with Sales & Marketing)
b. Accoya technical certifications
c. Collaborative technical programs with customers and system partners
d. Understanding customer and market technical requirements, appropriate certifications and opportunities
e. Competitor product tracking
2. Providing an interface between fundamental R&D, near term technical developments and commercial developments amongst colleagues and commercial partners
3. Establishing and reporting work programs that demonstrate a strong level of structure, detail and insight. Dissemination of this work, both in depth and in succinct summary form will be required across a range of colleagues and external stake holders
4. The role is relatively senior within the technical functions of Accsys and some time will be spent in providing a level of expertise and guidance to colleagues technical programs, across company functions and in areas which fall outside the direct remit of this role
5. Accsys intends to initiate a structured multiple University student intern program from 2015. Along with other technical colleagues, this role will play an active part in the program and seek to obtain positive outcomes for both Accsys and the students

Excellent oral, presentation and written skills in English. Other languages, and in particular Dutch, German and French are beneficial.
Prepared to undertake extensive international, including long haul travel. Travel component likely to be in the 40 to 60% band.
The role could be based in either our Arnhem (The Netherlands) or Windsor (UK) offices though there is a preference for it to be based in Arnhem.
Educational & professional experience
Educational Experience:
• Bachelor or masters in wood science (or chemistry) or a strong track record of demonstrating expertise in a technical wood or directly related industry role.
• A number of years industry experience.
