For all of the “geniuses” out there, many who have been in other administrations and “taken to the cleaners” by China, that want me to get together with the EU and others to go after China Trade practices remember, the EU & all treat us VERY unfairly on Trade also. Will change!

Alvast een voorschot op wanneer het niet zo goed gaat met de Jank-economie richting november 2020.

En Merkel ziet de koeienletters nog steeds niet; staat alleen af en toe te bibberen van angst voor Trump / Poetin, en de, nog niet geïndoctrineerde / gezond-verstand kiezer.

House Democrats to hold hearings on Stormy Daniels hush-money case
The House Judiciary Committee plans to hold public hearings as soon as October on President Donald Trump’s alleged role in hush-money payments to two women during the 2016 election, a committee aide familiar with the matter told NBC News.

The push by House Democrats, first reported by The Washington Post, is designed to highlight a case in which they believe prosecutors would have enough evidence to charge Trump with a crime if not for the Justice Department policy against indicting a sitting president.

House Democrats have been blocked so far from presenting many key witnesses in the Russia investigation. But because the payments to former Playboy model Karen McDougal and adult-film star Stormy Daniels occurred before Trump became president, Democrats believe they will be able to compel the testimony of key witnesses without the delays they have experienced in the Russia matter, the committee aide said.
Democrats are highlighting a case in which they believe prosecutors would have enough evidence to charge Trump with a crime if not for Justice Department policy.

A gauge of U.S. manufacturing from the Institute for Supply Management showed the sector contracted in August, its first decline since 2016.

The ISM U.S. manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index fell to 49.1% in August, the lowest reading in more than three years. Any reading below 50% signals a contraction.

The report raised fears of a recession and hit the stock market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost more than 300 points, extending losses following the morning release from ISM.

“Respondents expressed slightly more concern about U.S.-China trade turbulence, but trade remains the most significant issue, indicated by the strong contraction in new export orders,” Timothy Fiore, chair of the ISM Manufacturing Business Survey Committee, said in a statement.

The escalated trade war with China is taking a significant bite from the manufacturing sector, which for a time was considered one of the big winners under the Trump administration, notching big gains in employment and activity. But that has now appeared to be nullified by the trade war.

Tariffs on $112 billion of Chinese goods took effect Sunday, which target many everyday household items.

The August contraction ended a 35-month expansion period where the PMI averaged 56.5%, according to ISM. Production and employment gauges also showed contraction in August for the first time after growth for almost three years, ISM data showed.

ISM’s new export orders slowed for the second month in a row to their lowest reading since April 2009.

Walmart said Tuesday it will discontinue all sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition that can be used with military style weapons, discontinue sales of handgun ammunition and stop all handgun sales in Alaska, following two “horrific” shootings at Walmart stores this summer.

The biggest retailer in the world is also asking customers at Walmart and Sam’s Club to no longer openly carry firearms in stores, in states where “open carry” is allowed, unless authorized law enforcement officers are present.

Walmart said it won’t be changing its policy for customers who have permits for concealed carry. And it will be adding signage to stores in the coming weeks to communicate the changes.

“We believe the opportunity for someone to misinterpret a situation, even in open carry states, could lead to tragic results,” CEO Doug McMillon said in a memo distributed to employees on Tuesday. “We hope that everyone will understand the circumstances that led to this new policy and will respect the concerns of their fellow shoppers and our associates.”

When it reported quarterly earnings last month, Walmart estimated it made up about 2% of the market for firearms today, putting it “outside at least the top three sellers in the industry.” It estimated the company had about a 20% share of the market for ammunition.

De muur

Trump gaat $ 3,6 miljard weghalen bij geplande militaire projecten om de muur te financieren.

Logisch toch.
De militaire leiding heeft geld gevraagd voor projecten die belangrijk zijn.
Het Congress beslist er over na rijp beraad en wikken en wegen, want militaire versterking is noodzakelijk.
In diverse staten wist men dat er geld zou komen voor militaire projecten, hetgeen de werkgelegenheid stimuleert.

En dan de visionair Trump, die teleurgesteld is dat hij geen geld kreeg voor een muur.
De visionair oordeelt dat militaire ontwikkeling meer gebaat is met een muur en gaat middels creatief boekhouden schuiven met gelden.

Gelukkig bepaalt u niet wat de Amerikanen nodig hebben. Daar zijn ze (de meesten) zelf dom genoeg voor. En ze hebben er voor gekozen om The Donald te laten bepalen wat ze nodig hebben.
