Siemens demonstrates benefits of its broad Oil and Gas portfolio to customers
Siemens, the global powerhouse in electrical and electronics engineering operating in the energy, infrastructure, industry and healthcare sectors, has strengthened further its engagement in Kuwait’s rapidly developing economy by exhibiting its diverse portfolio of innovative products and solutions aimed at operational excellence, cost optimization, enhanced efficiency and meeting sustainability needs in the country’s oil and gas sector.
At the Siemens Oil & Gas Technology Forum recently held in Kuwait, company experts from the Middle East regional headquarters as well as Kuwait, Germany, UK and US met with key customers of Kuwait’s Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries. The event was to address the challenges of the Oil and Gas customers and also to present how diverse and efficient Oil and Gas portfolio offered by Siemens can add value to customers operations. The key participants in the event were from Kuwait National Petroleum Company, Kuwait Oil Company, Petroleum Industries Company, Equate and Al-Khafji Joint Operations.
Mr Adrian Wood, CEO of Siemens EES, the Kuwaiti unit of Siemens AG said that “Workshops such as this Oil & Gas Technology Forum allow Siemens to address and assist Kuwait’s aim to achieve sustainable development and provide solutions that would help manage its hydrocarbon wealth in the most efficient manner. It also serves as a platform to focus on our customers and their needs right where they are.”
Mr Bakheet Al-Rashidi KNPC, Deputy Chairman and Deputy Managing Director for Planning & Local Marketing said that “KNPC believes in technology partnership for operating our Refining & Local Marketing business more efficiently, profitably and in the most environment friendly manner.”
The portfolio of Siemens Oil and Gas Division addresses a wide range of products and solutions from upstream production, Enhanced Oil Recovery, to pipelines, water treatment and also downstream refining and petrochemicals. In addition to solutions, products and systems for the Oil and Gas industry, the division also supplies gas and steam turbines for industrial applications, as well as compression solutions for a variety of applications ranging from high pressure injection to air separation.

As a world leader in building environmentally friendly power solutions, Siemens, has also designed and successfully implemented fully integrated solutions for power supply and distribution as well as process automation and drive technology to meet the increasing environmental concerns and safety standards of the Oil and Gas industries.
